Beer is how Switchfoot Creative got its start, believe it or not. Being a homebrewer himself, Owner and Creative Director Todd Anderson started making beer labels for his homemade beers and meads, printing them, sticking them to bottles and sharing them with friends. One day, the head brewer and owner of Alesmith Brewing Company saw some labels and asked if Todd could design some logos and tap handle artwork for them. For pay… and not just in free beer, in cash.

Ding! A light bulb went off and Todd realized he’d found a way to supplement his beer brewing endeavors and make a little green on the side. This eventually led to going back to school to study design for real, and the start of Switchfoot.

Well it didn’t take long and Switchfoot found a niche in the craft brewing industry here in San Diego. In fact, SD is known as the microbrewery capital of the world. And we’ve done our fair share of artwork and design for some of the best: Alesmith, White Labs Brewers Yeast, the San Diego Brewers Guild and most recently Mother Earth Brewing Company.
